Meet Anna Sarelas
01
Leads a double life
By day, Anna Sarelas has a very serious grown-up role managing complex workplace scenarios. By night, she writes about LightWorkers and kids doing cool things like saving the world and fighting to be heard.
02
Where kindness comes from
As a daughter of immigrants and the granddaughter of refugees, concepts such as kindness and compassion during horrific times of hunger, poverty and crisis were what we grew up with; that others listen, value us, and can see us, was so important to the grown-ups around us who were trying to be adults while scared and lost themselves.
03
The original LightWorkers
My sister and I grew up with the belief that to fight for a better world is central to our very existence. The original LightWorkers are my parents. They are the first to show up, sleeves rolled up, ready. Whether it's to change a nappy, walk a demonstration, or lead a discussion into the interplay between classism and feminism, or astrology and romaticism.
